well yes. Of course, there are more templating solutions than you can
shake a stick at. Also, there is a possibility of writing something like
"HTML", but process it as XML and apply styles using XSLT. (I have once
done a system like this at work (in OO PHP 4), and it was as thoroughly
horrible and slow as you can imagine.)
I believe Igor2 is working on a typesetting engine that could have a
HTML output in itself, maybe we could put that on a server... (It would
use genetic algorithms to calculate page layout - so it would be only
slightly faster than PHP, I guess.)
