yes, it can be useful. However, a major theoretical point of Webless is
to allow the development of practical simple web browsers; and we think
that a proper implementation of CSS will take a disproportionate amount
of effort and increase of codebase.
The objective isn't to make pages *look* simple - that's why we allow a
lot of old-style html formatting. We want it rendering those pages to be
simple.
Of course, you say that "fairly simple" CSS should be allowed. At least
it might be an interesting exercise to write up a list of a subset of
CSS statements that are still easy to implement (upon the usual existing
infrastructure).
