I think the rule on CSS is a touch overdone - it CAN be a useful tool,
used right. On the other hand, used wrong... well, you've seen what can
happen, I assume.
Has anyone proposed allowing fairly simple, linked (not embedded!) CSS?
I'm fairly sure all graphical browsers have an option to ignore it, and
the being linked rather than embedded means it has no impact on page
sizes for browsers that don't want it - in other words, that method
allows people who want a heavier-but-prettier web experience to have it,
while at the same time allowing people who want simple and fast to have
that, too.
